An awarding start to the new year
By John, on January 13th, 2018

David is certainly putting the band through its paces as we work on a new programme of pieces for this year’s season. It’s really good to try new pieces and flex our music muscles. It’s also rather nice to pull out some old favourites from the files.
However, before the hard work of rehearsals started, we were pleased to present Trevor Westley with a long service award in recognition of his dedication, long service and commitment to Wadhurst Brass Band. Trevor is a very popular member of the band. He is pictured here with his three banding grandchildren when we were on a continental tour a few years ago. He has been playing with the band for 35 years and the award is very much deserved.

Pluck a little courage to knock on the door. But just in case you feel shy just to show up, you can contact Natasha Greatorex by email, who is in charge of the L-Plate Brass, our training band.
